தாயம் என்பது நான்கு சோகிகளை எறிந்து, கிடைக்கும் பெறுபேற்றுக்கு ஏற்ப, 5x5 சதுரங்களைக் கொண்ட வரைபடத்தில் காய்களை நகர்த்தி விளையாடப்படும் விளையாட்டு.ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் நான்கு காய்கள் இருக்கும்.
இவற்றைக் கோட்டில் பயணித்து மையத்தை அடைந்து மீண்டு வருதலே விளயாட்டாகும்.
முதலில் நான்கு காய்களையும் மீண்டு கொண்டு வருபவர் வெற்றி பெறுவார்.

This is played by throwing four shells and getting the number as the result of a throw and move a players piece on the board.
